My name is Ange and I first heard of scrapbooking whilst on holiday in Florida in 1998. I loved the concept and was determined to give it a go.
Unfortunately once back home in the UK I found out that scrapbooking was still almost unheard of and it was some years before I really got the chance to try my hand at this “new” hobby!
So here I am several years later with dozens of scrapbooks and mini books to my credit still learning my trade and still barely scratching the surface of my own creativity and still feeling like a novice! Why you might ask yourself? Surely after all this time you would have thought I’d have either gotten good or given up!
Well I’m my own worst enemy! When it comes right down to it I want everything to be perfect and as good as the latest hot name who is delivering classes at major scrapping conventions around the world! Reality check – it’s not going to happen! The truth is I’m much better at scraplifting and adapting than I am with original ideas. Once I accepted that I really started to enjoy my hobby and I love sharing it with others.
In the UK I ran a small club where we met each month to have fun, eat, drink and yes now and again we got a page completed! When I moved out to Nova Scotia I looked for something similar to join. I found a couple of clubs but I missed the fun of being directly involved in running things so I looked around for other options I tried a couple of options but have now settled on Close to My Heart as they offer a range of options to suit everyone.
I have a husband, two grown children and two beautiful grandchildren who all feature in my scrapbooks.
